About the Institute

 The Institute of Peoples, Territories, and Pedagogies for Peace (IPTP) is a non-governmental organization that fosters relationships and efforts towards decolonizing education, peace-building, and self-determination for Indigenous & Afrodiasporic peoples and territories globally.

 

The IPTP is involved as a counterpart in the development of strategies to support and enhance the political and territorial self-determination of Indigenous and Afrodiasporic peoples, strengthen the role of ethnic women and youth in the processes of peace-building, support cultural, political, economic, and educational exchanges and movement building across the America's, including through peoples’ diplomacy and land/water-defense efforts, and develop decolonial educational programming and strategies for the accompaniment of Indigenous and Afro-Colombian universities centered on ethnic pedagogies.

The Institute for Peoples, Territories, and Pedagogies for Peace acts as an interlocutor and supports ethnic communities and women's organizations to work with institutions, universities, foundations, and other organizations globally in Bolivia, Colombia, and Canada, with emerging relationships in Ghana, Senegal, and South Africa.​
